Well aware of all that, that is why I suggested it along with Hannan. Not expecting it, but it would be nice.

I still doubt if that would be enough. Hannan isn't exactly the most sought after either, with his large contract. Does Ottawa have enough cap room to bring in both Hnnan and Smyth? Probably not. I still think that Colorado would need to send some good young talent along, not just the old vets.

I don't think sarcasim translates well on a message board. I know the deal will never happen. A more realistic trade that might be get done would be Wolski and Smyth and maybe a middle round pick for Heatley and some prospect. This was more of a dream post for me than a reality.

Ther has been rumours of Clutterbuck , Sheppard and a couple picks. I dont put any stock into any of these rumours , mainly because i want him in Edmonton:dance:LOL

Smyth isn't even close to Heatley in terms of talent, and his contract is too big for what he brings to the table. If Smyth is involved, I see the Aves needing the 3rd pick as well. As much as I love Ryan Smyth, he isn't exactly the greatest trade bait at this point in his career, considering his salary and what his broken down body has left to bring to a team.

I'd gladly take Smyth and the 3rd overall pick for Heatley

I've heard that Minnesota has put the "offer to beat" on the table. I'd LOVE to see Brent Burns in a Sens uni but I doubt they'd move him. Sheppard is the name I keep hearing and I'd guess their 1st pick and possibly Cuma?

Yea except he's a dirty rotten player who always gets away with violent cheapshots. I especially despised him after his hit on McAmmond in game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 06-07. I would sincerely hate Murray if he were ever to get Pronger, no matter how good of a trade it would be.

To add to that. I think Garrioch said something like, "If this dies then he might not get traded at all."

I'm guessing the 10MT is based on his 4 mil bonus. 10MT=July 1st so the Sens would have to pay the $ rather then the Oilers. Also, perhaps waiting on Heatley approval.

Yeah, nice part on Sutter for the JBO signing. Lots of the OIlers fans are mad but personally for me, better Calgary then the thought of him signing in Vancouver(I live in Vancouver, I would rather see a better Cal team then a better Van team).

I heard that too! How good would that be for the oil..Loose Pudgy Penner and his 4 mil and get Heatley!??! WOW!!! I kinda hope not but oh well...As long as it is not vancouver...LOL..
