Duh - What's Wrong With This Picture?

For what it's worth, the checklist for the goalie 8-auto card doesn't match the picture on UD's website. I think there's two players different between the picture and checklist. I'm hoping the picture is correct -- 'cause it doesn't have Tim Thomas on it.

Well the actual produced "Swede"-seven auto card is the same as the picture, I saw someone on the other site pull it. So there's a big chance you're off the hook ;)

Just wait until they put the Backstrom (Caps) stickers on that card. :D

Looks like they got the right auto for the goalie, only they got the wrong Backstrom for the card..

I guess I just don't get it. How does one company make this many mistakes?

That's what happens when there's no real competition in an industry. UD can slack off and there's nothing you can do about it if you like NHL licensed cards.

I think people should start forwarding these to the NHLPA to show them why only giving out 1 license is incredibly stupid.

Another goof...they mixed the Mike autos up:

Well they are only Flyer's.... ;)

Seriously, if they had someone who even remotely was a aware of what a NHL roster was.. It's pretty obvious to us Hockey collector's that they are incorrectly place.. :whatthehell:

Looks like we'll have to put a call into the principals office on this one.. :foottap:

well,if these cards come from a card factory, where people are underpaid and have been there for yrs,im sure they come to the point of not caring and let defects slide.maybe thats a little off the wall, but its an option

Hey Vegas...why did you quit updating the error blog? Was it getting to be to much of a full time job :)

I also noticed on the OPC Premier Bertuzzi cards they have him as #44 still, when all he wore was #4 last year. Not a biggie, but still not that hard to get right.

Or maybe just flat out unskilled workers...min. wage. it all adds up...I just winder how much stuff ends up in pockets...you can only keep the po po fir a little while, before they rise up and flood the market with unsigned auto's, unnumbered replacements...

well,if its anything like the auto industry, all the work is heading to mexico where all the 'real skilled'(cheap, can afford to make mistakes) worker lives

you cant expect people to work for min wage when companies are making millions off products and treating employees like crap in return, theres some lash back at some point and time

maybe its the fact that UD releases waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many products per year and as the company tries to put out as many as it can before the start of next season, these "lazy" errors happen. if less products were released, the quality control would be much better.

Its alright they are producing cards and not medical supplies or food products. They would be closed down from all the lawsuits against them...brutal.

I'm with you on that. They soak hobbyists for all they are worth at the expense of quality cotnrol.

Alot of truth to this. With only one company controlling the License, they just get comfortable. We need competition here! I gaurentee that a product would not go out with so many mistakes if another company had some similar product released at the same time. They would be more careful

Maybe all the lastest mistakes can open eyes here!!!!

That's probly one of the worst errors I've ever seen IMO. It's one thing to put a couple upside or wrong stickers on a card but to have a pictrue of one and and a name of a different guy is a pretty bad QC issue since it will ruin EVERY single card.
