I wanted to start a collection of idioms/terms we use in the hobby that no one outside of the hobby would understand. I have a funny idiom but I will save that story for my blog post later this evening.

Here are a few that come to mind.

"Yo man you gotta slab that one". Reference to grading a card in a slab
"Dude that's a fatty". Reference to a fat pack that might have a super think jersey card or jersey/auto.

Okay Your turn

Have some Awesome "boom sauce" ; /
Guys talking to guys...<rolls eyes>
"gotta come strong"
"can't stand lowballers"

"Wicked,it's a decoy" meaning another fantastic decoy pull.

"Ace of base" meaning, a pack of base. Ok that's the Ironman Indys famous phrase but it's caught on locally.

Any of...

"how much did you bust" "what did you hit"

I swear, if I said those things and a cop was nearby, I'd be up against the hood of a squad car with my hands behind my back... again...

"Boomsauce"...sounds like someone saying "Hey, I just pulled a nice card, everyone gather around for a money shot, but let me get my goggles first."

"Pulling" a card is another latently, um, alternative expression.
