March 31st is the Release Date for In The Game’s Final Vault.

As we select the cards to be included in this product, we are constantly taking a trip down “Memory Lane”.

Now it’s your turn. Show us your favorite In The Game insert card from our products released from 1996 – 2014.

On Release Day, I will choose one winner from all the entries on the Hobby Insider boards and send the winning poster a box of the Final Vault.

Please limit your entry to just one card to be fair to all.

Stunning cards from the old "licensed" days.

We had a level playing field back then with the other manufacturers before the days of the "exclusive".

It was a lot of fun and we made some great cards.

Thanks for kicking off the contest.

My Pleasure. I pulled this card back when the product was first released. I was 15 years old. Traded the card, regretted it for a long time, and finally just re-acquired this copy!

I remember opening a ton of Franchises - and sending in enough points for 7 HSHS cards - lucked out getting a complete run of Habs - this was my favourite

Hama:

I remember that product very well.

The NHLPA gave an exclusive to Upper Deck because the lock-out was coming but no one told the NHL and they gave us a license for that year.

Franchises was one of our most successful products, had a ball doing it.

Thanks for sharing.

Also one of my favorite products.

Had lots of fun dealing with Georges Laraque and his ridiculous position with respect to the faux blood stains on the autograph card.

That was just after he was featured in the movie Goons.

I have to go with this Gretzky card i pulled myself, sweet looking card when ITG still had a license on certain players.

Suitman19;

I knew you had this card, one of my favorites as well.

Nice piece of memorabilia in the middle.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow I have so many ITG cards its hard to pick 1 but I guess Ill go with this one ...as Im a goalie guy and cant have any goalie collection without these 2

I will put this one out there:

At the time, jerseys were still only one per box at best, except in the high end products. I was always a sucker for the one per pack autograph products... and in 02/03, when they included the buyback program, I eventually bought a box or three... and this card popped out... numbered /10 with four memorabilia pieces, of THE goalie God who was still on top of his game... It was an amazing thrill to find this hiding in a pack.

Here's the original post even...

Brian, thanks for sharing this contest with us, and thanks again for your dedication to the hobby over the years.

Being a big Leafs fan, this card is pretty sweet. It has 4 players I grew up watching as well as a couple of all time greats. Easily one of my favorites.
Thanks for the contest Dr. Price.

Cheers.
Dan.

This would have to be mine favorite. Still remembering pulling it at my old LCS in Richmond when this product first came out.

Looking forward to the Final Vault product.

I thought about going with the 01/02 Parkhurst Vintage Series Milt Schmidt, as that is the first card I think of when it comes to the old BAP days, and I believe the first autographed card that I ever pulled.

However, to me, the best card that ITG has ever produced is one that I could only wish I could own. This card is arguably the one that put Dr. Price and the Be A Player/ITG brand on the map and generated a huge amount of discussion and publicity for the hockey collecting hobby as a whole. This card is owned by one of our very own members (webotew), I hope they don't mind that I pulled the scan from their show and tell thread, but it is the only example I could come across in my image search...

2000-01 BAP Memorabilia George Vezina Pad

There have been may other Vezina GU cards in the years since, and there may be other cards out there that are fancier or more flashy, but nothing as iconic as this particular card, IMHO.

Most of my ITG cards belong to the two subsets I put together, Superlative V2 Auto & Jersey and the Prospect Trios Jersey set from 06-07 BTP. As far as fav single, easily this one being a Leafs fan!
