We picked up Left 4 Dead at EB Games. From first impressions last night, and I'm still light-headed and dizzy from the first-person viewpoint. My boyfriend liked it, but I feel there was more hype than substance. Too chaotic, not much of a storyline, not enough strategy.
Gears of War 2 is soooo much better. Dom searching for his wife, Marcus and Anya...all in the midst of saving the world! Guess I'm just a sucker for some drama.![]()
Left 4 Dead is not supposed to have a story and is supposed to be chaotic. That's the whole point. Valve created a game where you HAVE to work together to survive and if you're going to slow you'll pay for it with a horde of zombies due to the AI director. Also, no two games are alike. Yes, the maps are always the same, but the experience is always different. It's meant to be played with 3 other people. If you're looking for a story you've bought to the wrong game. L4D is pure zombie killing fun, plain and simple.
