I would suggest sending a copy of the interaction and text messages to the NHLPA and see what they do. I know that they are always pressing the players to accommodate fans and to be ambassadors of the sport at all times. A copy to the NHL head office as well as his team would not hurt either. There is no reason for players to act like a tool but some let the fame go to their heads. I work for Scott Thornton and he is a super stand up guy that has all the time in the world for people and was the same way when he was a player. It's really too bad that more players don't act the same way.
