Well, now that there are news that both Bosh and Wade will play together next year I have officially ended any like that I have had for CB4. It's not just that he has left Toronto, but now he's not allowing a sign and trade? What is the point in that? Just another slap in the face to the team that drafted him and made him an all star.

This entire process every since the season ended has been a total joke. He has been seen on every possible radio station of the cities that were wooing him, but he wasn't on a single Toronto media station. Just *^&%&^%& leave and get this crap over with. Yes, I am pissed. On top of that Bosh always tweeted about where he was going and when he was going there. Bosh is now Toronto's most hated athlete and I wish him nothing but the worst!

Big time. Vince Carter might have been a major pain in the butt, but at least he clearly stated that he wanted out when he started to have issues with the city and the team.. CB4 pretty much stringed the entire city along for seven years and took off at his first chance. Not getting anything at all for him just shows the type of person Bosh really is and how disloyal he is to the city and everything he says about how much he loved the city, how it's his second home was all a load of dinosaur crap!

It sounds like the Raptors had soured on the sign and trade and were willing to take the loss of players to screw him out of $30 million.

Bosh worked his butt off for Toronto for 6 years. He has no obligation to sign there or do a sign and trade. I don't understand why fans think that Bosh had to do a sign and trade, there is no obligation for him to do that.

I don't understand why TO fans feel this way towards Bosh, they did the same to T-Mac. I understand why they hate Vince as he stopped playing for them and lost his value. Bosh played until the end and BC should had traded him before the deadline, hate him not Bosh. The GM cost the team by waiting it out.

I think if TO could have lured in a big FA then Bosh would have stayed. Regardless it is his right at the end of his contract to sign where ever he wants. Appreciate what he did for your team, again blame the GM for getting nothing in return. You would think Maple Leaf sports would have learned in the Mats Sundin debacle.

^ Not so sure about that. The rumors of players that were potentially headed Toronto's way from Miami were etched in stone and I think Bosh was the sole figure that x'ed out any potential for the Raptors to gain anything at all from his departure. What has Bosh done over the past year to show any faith whatsoever to the franchise? That's right none.

A bigger question here is that I believe the NBA is starting to realize that Toronto is a wasteland for NBA talent and there really is no reason to play here. Look at the roster over the past few years. Has there really been anyone of note that has played here? No and whenever someone became established they were shipped out. T.J Ford, Billups, Carter, McGrady etc etc etc. This is a sad, sad day in the Raptors franchise and I expect them to win no more that 30 games next year. This team needs a major overhaul to even be considered a playoff team and the Eastern Conference is pretty weak and is extremely top heavy.

Ok, let me chime in about B.C now. He came here with a lot of acclaim, but what has he accomplished here? Sure, the team was good the second year of his tenure when they won the division, but ever since then the team has been falling into the doldrums of NBA obscurity. He has a lot of passion and I do have faith in him, but what can he do if no one seems to want to play here?

The team has some young pieces, but they need to get major upgrades out of Derozan, Bargnani and Turkoglu if he's still around to make a run for the playoffs. A lot of my hatred and frustration towards Bosh stems from the fact that he was a warrior when he was here and for him to just take this turn for the worse in his contract year. Well, it is a tough pill to swallow.

They should have traded him at the deadline. I never expected him to re-sign in TO. FOr the past year he looked really uncomfortable talking about it and his body language gave away that he was leaving. Brian should have moved him and got a boat load in return for him. BIG BIG mistake!!!

As you said ALL of the good players TO has leave, the writing was on the wall.

Bosh should have stayed in Toronto but I guess he does't care about the Raptors.

I glad I sold his 2003-04 Bowman Chrome Refractors Chris Bosh AU 44/50 when I did. I picked it up at a card show for $30. It books $250.00

I resold it for $125. See ya CB4. Playing with Wade won't work out, I think!

It will be funny if Lebron signs there as well. Apparently Bosh And Wade are trying to lure him over. They are willing to sign shorter contracts with less money to get all 3 together (3 years).

Whoa whoa whoa.

The RAPTORS said publicly they wouldn't do a sign and trade with Miami because the Heat didn't have any players the Raps would have been remotely interested in.

So how is that CB4's fault? Your venom is grossly misdirected.

Bosh wants to go to a team with a chance to win. Why would he sign and trade which will only hurt his new team making them give up players and draft picks. That defeats his purpose of going to a new team. Sure Bosh could make more money in a sign and trade but he is still getting monster money so it don't really matter to him.

I didn't read all of this, but when it became clear that he wanted Miami with DWade, looking at the roster, there isn't really much there as a Raptor fan that excites me. Beasley seemed like a good choice, but really, he hasn't been what many expected him to be. Sure some future first rounders would be nice as well, but what can be expected?

He is a FREE AGENT. He fulfilled his contractual obligations and as much as he may or may not have strung fans or management along, he is free to go where he wishes.

From my understanding, Florida doesn't have the taxes that are present here or in many areas of the USA so that would allow him to take less money to go there as he would also be paying less taxes.

I wish Bosh well for the rest of his career, but what worries me most is Toronto is becoming the Expos of the NBA, develop stars only to move them on when they can't afford them or whatever. Losing Stodumire, McGrady, Carter and Bosh all in their primes doens't bode well for future recruiting.

Next chapter.

If Lebron signs in Miami as well, the players they have better get used to playing lots of minutes 'cause they aren't going to have the money to sign much else!

The system in the NBA is broken if the players are fully dictating where they play and how the business is run.

Think about it... Chris Bosh is potentially signing for $16,000,000 a year...

$16,000,000 requires 160,000 seats sold @ an average of $100 per ticket... that's 8 sell outs on it's own.

$16,000,000 requires 800,000 bags of popcorn @ $5 per bag, and 1.2 million beer @ $10 per drink

$16,000,000 is more money than the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of most African Nations (Yes, sports stars make more money than a quarter of the countries in the world)

$16,000,000 would purchase 2.67 million polio vaccinations

$16,000,000 is enough to pay 800 people a poverty line level wage of $20,000, or 320 people a good wage of $50,000 per year, or enough for 160 people to make the 'sunshine list' in Canada @ $100,000.

Consequently, if you make $50,000 a year, it'll take you 320 years to make what CB4 does in one season.

My point is, the whole pro athlete and pro sport thing is ludicrous when looked at big picture. Given the flavour of the soup, I'm not surprised the ingredients in it taste the same. I just wish I could stop eating it...

Don't let the door hit you on the way out Bosh, we never would have won anything with this guy "leading" our team. Bosh is a great second fiddle and Miami is great situation for him because of Wade. We wouldn't have been able to get a better player on our team than Chris while he was here because of the contracts of Bargnani, Calderon, and Turkeyglu. Also it is time to part ways with B.C, we need a new start once again.

Agree with you 100%. As stated above it was "locked in" the players that would have come back from Miami to Toronto. That's because Miami only has those three players under contract. At no point did the Raptors want to do a sign and trade in Miami, it was the other way around.

Am I disappointed that Bosh has left? Yes.

Am I going to hate him for it? No.

I don't think that there should be all of this vitriol directed at Chris for not doing the sign and trade. He didn't want an extra $30-40M that's the choice that he made.

If it is true that he's taking $4M less per year than he could have made seems to me that in any other situation the sports world would be lauding this saying this unselfish player is taking less money to go where he thinks he'll have the best chance to win. I guess this is a unique situation on all fronts.

Apparently Bosh, Wade and Lebron are considering signing in Miami at a huge discount on 3 year deals so they can play together and win a championship. They wouldn't be signing for max contracts.

Ok, I have calmed down and Bosh does deserve a championship, but it is still frustrating that one of the biggest markets in the NBA can not even field a playoff team.

buh bye rupaul.
glad hes gone. i cringed everytime the raps needed a big bucket in the dying seconds because i knew Coach was drawing up a play to put the ball in bosh's hands. and i knew 90% he would miss that clutch shot.
obviously we cant change the past, but if we only took Wade instead of bosh in the 03 draft, we would of been a playoff team every year. Wade has the talent to carry a team on his back. he is a leader. Bosh is not. and will never be. the funny thing is he believes he is the "jordan", when he isnt even a poor mans pippen.

im excited about the new look raptors. im a huge Derozan fan, and assuming we unload calderon, and keep jack, with weems, and amir johnson.. the future looks bright.
