Is Joe Thornton a Hall of Famer?

Yeah I worded that wrong, Its every guys dream that plays in the nhl to win the Stanley cup but you don't need a cup win to get in the hall

look at borje salming.... he never won a cup but I guarantee you he carved the way for all swedes and Europeans to play in the nhl

true that cup winners outweigh the non cup winners that are in the hall but that shouldn't be a deciding factor to get in the hall
I hear what you're saying. Good points! Another poster mentioned Lindros as a good example of a non-Cup guy who should and will get into the HOF eventually. I think Lindros probably should get in. He was almost a point-per-game player throughout his career. He won the Hart and Pearson awards once, and in the same year. And I will always remember how dominant he was with the Flyers, until Scot Stevens ruined his career. That Legion of Doom line with him, Leclair and Renberg was one of the best lines in the mid-90's. Maybe a better case can be made for Thorton getting into the Hall than Lindros, as he scored more points, played in the play-offs more, and also one a Hart and an Art Ross (which Lindros didn't win).
