Is Matthews a Superstar?

Draisaitl has not nearly been as consistent through their careers. They only have the same number through the first 30 games of this season.

What?? He was second best goal Scorer Last year...funny

I like to think of him (Matthews) as an invisible superstar. Some nights he's invisible. Some nights he's a superstar. Once he realizes that when you are highest paid player on the team, you probably need to bring it every game. He'll get it figured out. Too much talent to not be up there in the top 10 in league scoring every year. The Leafs have so much talent, but they just don't understand that if you take a shift off, you'll likely be a -1, so fast. If they want to learn what it's like to be a dominant player, they should take notes from Zach Hyman. he brings it every shift. Never stops competing, just a pleasure to watch.

So I really don't watch much hockey anymore.
Hockey has been dying a slow death for me with the demise of the enforcer.
As of late with Cherry being gone, coaches getting fired for lighting a little fire under the players asses.

Looking at the stats he already is a Marc Savard type player.
Savy was always on the edge of superstar status.

I would say he isn't quite there yet.
But at 22 he still should have plenty of years to turn it up.

I wouldn't ditch my cards yet!

A little off topic here but goalies were brought up here as well.
Anyone ever looked at Rask's stats?
Statistically he is better than Price!

I agree. The term "invisible superstar" I think is very accurate.
