Simply amazing. Congratulations to the seller when he cashes in that cheque (metaphorically speaking) - it would be painful to have to let all of those amazing cards go but $$$ has a way of easing the pain.

For a lot of rare cards like this the lot is worth more than the sum of each individual card. As craxz explained, the effort that goes into putting a lot like this together is worth a huge bonus. I know I would easily pay 20% more to have someone else do all the "dirty work" for me. On the other hand some people enjoy doing that and it's good to see them rewarded for their efforts. I'm looking into who won this lot because it's quite likely that I know or have heard of them. Assuming it wasn't a zero feedback bidder!

Gotta admit, that's one sick collection. Ice, Cup and other rookies all graded 9.5. Wish I had as much money as some of these guys. I wonder if it was a fan and a big addition to a PC or someone investing with hopes to make a few bucks.

Ebay fees would only be $100 as that's their max. However, Paypal is going to take ~@$2400. (Assuming it goes through PP)
