I'm pretty close to the final list. Had to go through old scans,paypal receipts,old deals on sites to get a true count of what they took.

I'm afraid to say the list grew.Once I get the completed list I will be sending it to whomever is willing to take it and watch out for it.

My thoughts go out to you. It really is a disturbing feeling having to go through everything knowing that the thief touched it as well.. It took my wife quite sometime to get over that feeling of being violated, after our break-in.

Hoping that the thief is caught quickly and that justice is served. Also, that your items are recovered intact.

Sorry to hear about this. I know the feeling all too well. Been broken into 4 times, but only once was the house. It is an awful feeling but it will slowly go away.

Ask your neighbors as well. You could be surprised how many people have cameras on their house. I do. I got a couple of the guys that broke into my garage arrested from very poor nightime camera footage. Just a few details could help.

As everyone on here has said, I will also keep an eye open for your cards.

Someone eventually will slip up and put one of the cards out on the market, and then it will be game on. .

Sorry to hear about this dean. No doubt these cards will pop up somewhere in town and with so many #'d cards in the collection, they should be easy to spot.
 
That sucks man. I feel for ya. I lock my stuff up due to fear of the same thing happening to me. I would literally freak. I hope the best for you and that the POS who stole you stuff is caught in one way or another. I think he definitely will.
 
I agree 100% it's usually someone whome u would never suspect but. Either akredy are or we're close w that person at one time. Hope all works out.

Very sorry to hear. That is awful. Just reading it makes me feel ill in my gut. I really hope you get them back and get some closure.
All I can say is some of your stuff has to show up eventually and then they (the police) can track it back. There is no way someone can sit on that many cards forever.

I hope the police are taking it seriously (and the other break-in story i read). Your collection is really valuable. I mean extremely valuable. This is no different then someone breaking into a house and taking a $25,000-$50,000+ original painting off the wall. Depending on the artist, that could possibly be national news. And news reports are usually good because friends/colleagues/neighbours will turn the criminals into the cops.

The way the law is written, even if the prick criminals sell the stolen items, and the items are found in someone elses possession down the road, you get them back no questions asked. (ie. because you have a documented police report). Wishing you the best.
 
Disgusted to see that this had happened to you.

Makes one start to think about security. It's not just about dealing with someone locally who is immoral and knows your address/collection but eBay sort of purchases as well. If someone sells/buys with someone who is lacking scruples, they know your address along with some bidding/buying history. I suppose a PO Box would help with that.

Anyway, really sorry that this happened. I'll be watching.
 
Guys...Thanks for the kind words. I'm really seeing the final number before I move forward with some options. Other options are already in play as we speak

Dean, sorry to hear about your loss. There is a lot of words i could say but not aloud to say them on the site. i will pass the word along to Moe and Jim at wests sports cards to keep a eye out incase stuff shows up around hear.
hopefully they are desperate for money and im sure they are and they will try and sell and everyone knows your stuff so i hope it shows up.

Thank you. This thread is the final list of stolen. When I get a chance I'll on all who said they would watch out in their area. You gotta believe something will show up!!!!
 
I am so sorry this happened. What is wrong with people?? The good thing is you have several of the serial numbers on the cards so they might be easy spots on eBay. Maybe mods can make this thread or at least your list a sticky so when some of us are doing our ebay searches it might be easier to find the list and serial numbers. Here's hoping you can at least recover some if not all of your cards!
