Panini Prizm World Cup?

Depends on the price but I'm sure more than a few would be interested. And it will pick up closer to the tournament.

My only concern is that teams like Italy, Brazil, England will be picked off right away but we'll be stuck with Algeria, Honduras etc. Team prices would have to be set pretty high on the big teams so that we could keep less desirable teams in the $20 range.

Let me work on it.
 
I would much rather just do a draft and keep it to 16 spots so everyone gets 2. Or go pricier and draft the groups (everyone gets 4)
 
Not sure how I feel about the stuff. From random packs (16 or so) I hit only inserts. From 2 boxes I hit inserts (nothing spectacular) and a Radamel Falcao auto.

I hit some nice looking red white and blue parallel's and a couple yellow white and red (or whatever they are) of Neymar and Ronaldo. Also hit 2 pink's /99 of German players.

If you hit a huge auto it more than pays for itself. If not it's definitely not that great of a product.

The Falcao auto is available for a team Holland auto....
 
For soccer fans - I'd say there's a very good majority of signatures that would be happy to be pulled - by my count - I'd be happy with any of about 40 of the 50 in the set.

I'm also expecting an uptick in this product once the rip and flip crowd is out. Across any sport - personally I believe this product has one of the best autograph checklists in terms of star power ever assembled - especially at this price point. For the casual North American - it probably has minimal appeal outside of those names that are cross-generational. But even casual fans of futbol would very happy to pull most any auto in this product.

Whereas it's probably readily available in North America - look anywhere else - particularly in Europe and Asia

I can't speak to the history of futbol cards, but by comparison to hockey/baseball, 1 auto per 2 boxes (on average) for $120 CAD or $108 USD isn't exactly cheap IMO.

Sure you can beat the odds, but you can also strike out. There was a poster on the Panini thread posted by Breakawaysportscards where a guy stated that he'd bought 5 boxes for $600 + dollars and didn't hit an auto.

That's terrible....
