I'll listen to the NESN feed for a while, but they are hard on the ears. He's more of a fan than a play by play man.

The Montreal game must be on one of the eleven different CBC regions. I'll check now.

EDIT: The game is on 249 in Punjabi lol! and 206 in Canadian.

Chris go Bell Express view. Cable blows!

free to air satellite?

Kovalev kovablew tonight. This guy has been awful all season. All he's good for is turning over pucks and making bad passes

LOL Do you realize how stupid you sound by saying that? The fans are doing exactly what they are supposed to, cheer and make lots of noise. Tonnes of players have said that the Bell Centre is one of the hardest places to play because of the fans. I'll take that over a bunch of zombies in the seats ANY day.

EDIT: Also I'd like to add that is one difference I instantly notice when I watch other teams. The crowd has barely any effect over the game, they are so quiet you'd think it was a library on ice.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was not trying to personally attack anyone but I should have known that a Canadiens fan would take it that way:rolleyes:

^ Hey now, let's not be lumping all Habs fans together.

I don't understand the boo-ing I hear when watching Habs games most of the time. If you're in the arena it can be fun, otherwise it's usually annoying. It should only be for players who do to a team what Vince Carter did to the Raptors.

That might have been the most quiet I've ever heard a crowd in Montreal. Also can anyone tell me for sure if the crowd boo'd Roy's kids? Someone mentioned it but I didn't watch and was curious.

I'm sorry but I don't know how you can say that when all I did is repeat exactly what you said. Seriously I never had a problem with you and I still don't but I do have a problem with the fact that you think fans who pay $500 a ticket and $10 a beer should not cheer as they wish. If they boo a player who gives a damn? If it was really a problem a respectable figure in the league would say something, instead you have someone like Biron <We chant his name when he's at the Bell> said how he doesn't mind it and actually think it's cool.

I never heard no booing at all... Not sure who told you that.

I don't understand why Canadiens fans get all crazy about certain players and boo them EVERY single time they have the puck....do they realize how stupid they sound? I can't think of another bunch of fans that do anything even remotely close to that to any player

Guess you have never watched the Senators play the Leafs at the ACC!!

Some of my friends were at the game and said the building was deafeningly loud. They didn't believe me when I told them the fans sounded rather tame and reserved during the ceremonies. Must have been the TV station

I watched it and had goosebumps. I too was heart broken when he left the team back in '95. I was a teenager and was so depressed for a long while. He was and has always been my favorite player of all time. I still have all the old posters (put them up in the garage). I have just about all his Habs cards.

It was well over due... the reconcilliation that is.... and jersey retirement. If it was any other year I'd say they should have done it a longtime ago... like Colorado did. But it being the 100th yr celebration what a better time than now.

I can't believe the Leafs would choose the same night to retire Clark's jersey. WHAT were they thinking?? Don't get me wrong, he deserves it but what kind of organization does that on the same night as a legend like Roy getting his jersey retired?? Very classless if you ask me... alot of people, even non-Habs fans would have enjoyed seeing the ceremony on CBC. No respect.... typical MLSE decision there.

Just cements the fact I really can't stand the make-me-laughs. Anyway, enough stealing of Patrick's thunder.

The night was a great tribute to the best goalie of his time... and arguably of all time!

Patrick tu est le ROY!
