I have been looking for a Kariya 8x10 for a bit to add to my growing photo PC, and have had my eye on this one for a bit, I have read up on PSA/DNA and there seems to be mixed reviews. I figured here is a better place than any - does anyone have an opinion on this Kariya auto at all? Or any opinion on PSA/DNA? Thanks in advance,
Dave
I think Richard meant that Carey might shy away from the public spotlight in the coming years when it comes to that sort of thing.
I could be wrong though. (correct me if I'm wrong please)
But yeah, Carey Price's auto won't become as rare as Kariya's, due to the thousands that are already on the secondary market. So I think Richard was just referring to the privacy thing.
Tim, nice book! If you don't mind me asking, I am curious how you obtained the signature? Thanks!
Richard, respect your input and realize you typically use Canadiens and/or Price as your reference point for everything, but this statement is irrelevant here.
Carey Price has over 500 pack-inserted, certified autograph issues as of now, and you're saying in a few years he could end up this way. I would imagine even in a few years time that would add more to that massive number. Paul Kariya has just over 30 autograph issues. That's a vast discrepancy between the two as it stands now and that will be a finite number. You can't take away those Price autos on the market. That's not really going to have anyone wondering why Price has "so few" autographs like Kariya.
Seeing as Kariya doesn't want to be compensated for his signature I don't see that number growing. But, never say never!![]()

Thank you for being the arbiter as to what is relevant and what is not in the hobby, Barrie, I appreciate your input.

You're probably right so sorry Richard if I mistook it, rereading that makes sense as well. Hopefully Price doesn't become that guy, he always seemed to be pretty ok, maybe Montreal is finally "getting" to him?
I think you might have misinterpreted what he meant. I think he meant that Price might end up signing less in the future maybe to the point where he doesn't sign anymore, like Karya. Nothing to do with comparing stats on the numbers of signed cards that exist between the two players.Richard, respect your input and realize you typically use Canadiens and/or Price as your reference point for everything, but this statement is irrelevant here.

Lot of people with reading issues on HI these days. Thanks for playing for Richard!
Anybody want an auto'd 8x10 of Kariya? I've got a few I might part with, If you're interested, fire me a PM and I'll send you some scans.
But, Yea, Kariya auto's are VERY few and far between, part of what I like about collecting him, I think I have 2 autographs from cards, but, they are valued highly cause of the rarity.
Cheers!
