Preview: New 900-Card Set from UD on ePack

Here's what I had invested in getting my gold:

Started Thursday night, bought 2 boxes to get base to trade. (pulled two plates too!)
Spent most of Friday, aside from a few hours at a dinner party, swinging base deals. Spent most of Saturday, aside from a few hours running errands, just non-stop offering base for base trades.

I think all told it took me 3 days and 3/4 boxes of product purchased.

Also keep in mind though, the ecosystem is odd...there's some hardcore Montreal guys who had 20+ copies of mine and I never bothered approaching them. If you collect a guy on a team like Florida, you can probably get there quicker than I did.

(If you collect an Oiler player, good luck to you, those guys are nuts)

I also had help from some other board members and guys I met in the chat over there.
 
Got my Gorges Gold done last night. Feels good, man. Total spent? $10US. Level of gratitude? High. Excited to go after Weber in Wave 2 or 3? Yes.

Am I wrong or was it fun to do? I feel like it's the most fun I've had in the hobby forever.

For sure, there's a place for a couple of affordable products with large and nicely done base sets, but I think super limited base cards in high-end products are at there place.

Most true set collectors aren't looking to move their sets it's about collecting and loving what you collect. I have been collecting sets for almost 30 years an have never tried 'moving' a set. I love these type of sets I know it's not for everyone but I'm sure there are collectors out there that will put this set together and love it. In his hobby it's about doing what you love.

But having said that and having cards shipped from the epack site before I'm afraid it may be a very expensive set to get in hand so despite the reasonable pack price it maybe too expensive to have shipped.

Too bad there's a lot of potential here.

Yeah it was actually. A couple head-scratchers on declines or offers received, but for the most part it was a pretty neat experience. Can't wait to do it again in the future for Weber.
 
So Carbon F/X or Net Destroyers are not needed for a second time for any SP, if I have once redeemed them for Heart and Soul #1 and #2, then that's it?
