Riderville Shakeup: Club parts ways with Taman, Chamblin

CFL.ca Staff

REGINA -- The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Monday night that they have relieved Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager Brendan Taman as well as and Head Coach Corey Chamblin of their duties.

In the interim Assistant General Manager and Director, Football Operations Jeremy O’Day will take over the GM role while Special Teams Coordinator Bob Dyce will take over the sideline duties.

“We are not meeting our expectations or our standards on the field and these changes were necessary to move us forward,” stated Riders President & CEO Craig Reynolds.

“Brendan and Corey worked tirelessly for this organization and I thank them for all that they have done for our team,” continued Reynolds. “But we are in a results oriented business and the current position of our team is unacceptable and this decision was necessary for us to build this team towards sustained success.”

The shakeup comes amidst an 0-9 start to the 2015 season after the Riders lost both their no. 1 and no. 2 quarterbacks in Darian Durant and Kevin Glenn.
