Did he actually say he's going to test the market? I know he said he wasn't going to sign a contract during the season because he felt it would be a distraction. That could mean, A)I'm going to test the market or B)Let's wait for our season ends and then we can talk.
In the past, I've heard people say that Weber played better when he was playing with Suter.
Anyhow, I would love to see Columbus offering him a massive contract. Not sure if he is willing to go there though. But I do think they would offer him the most money as they have to over pay to bring players in(Commodore,Huselius,Wiz, etc). So if money talks then who knows. Columbus do have some big contracts ending(Huselius,Prospal,Martinek,and Pahllson which is give or take around $12 mil) so they can use that money towards Suter.
Would like him in Edmonton as well. They need a D badly and would fit in nicely in the rebuild.
I could see Columbus offering $6+ for him. Now is the extra .5 worth it for Suter to consider Columbus?
