The White Envelope thread!

Got a $25 BV card today in a regular white envelope from seller cardobillia. Paid $3.25 for it too! It only cost him a $0.69 stamp... And I had specifically asked for the card to be shipped in a bubble mailer! :curse:

Add jlew7 to your avoid list.Charged me $3.25 for a plain white envelope.Wont buy from him ever again.

Just got a Gabby Ice Dual Jersey card today in white envelope that looked like it went through the mail sorter machine a few times. Of course, the card was creased from top to bottom. :curse:

eBay ID: jdrysdale

He has almost an 11,000 feedback rating and owns a store....should know better. Maybe just his hired help shipping them out any way they want??

I emailed him with scans....we'll see what he says.

cards4keeps sent a white envelope today. I wish I could say like all the others that the card was safe but it wasn't! It was a great looking 3 color Andrew Alberts Hot Prospects auto/patch RC that is totally DESTROYED! Creases through out the front and back of the card straight across the patch area.
It still amazes me as to why people send in a plain envelope. WHY TAKE THE CHANCE?!?!?

I don't get the big deal...I mean if you are a bulk seller you can buy bulk bubble mailers...Will probably come out to less than .20 each....For non bulk sellers 3.00 should cover the cost unless you are over paying for bubblers

Same experience as Gabby had with this seller....

ebay ID: jdrysdale

Purchased a 07/08 Pitkanen jersey /100 ....
White envelope and card was creased on the jersey corners... not happy!! :<

Card arrived relatively quick but man... how can someone with almost 11,000 transactions stay in business operating like that. If you look at his id...he also has alot of negatives too, for obvious reasons I'm sure.

Definitely NOT buying from this guy anymore!

Yeah, I just got a Seabrook jersey card from this clown the other day in a white envelope as well
$2.50 for shipping does not equal $0.87 stamp and white envelope.
I won't buy from this guy again

Got another today and unfortunately card was damaged because seller was foolish enough to think that a penny sleeve with one decoy in a team bag was good enough protection to ship in a white envelope ONLY!
Scan of the beat up envelope so I knew what was coming for the card inside:
Hanzalenvelope.jpg

Damage to both jersey areas on the both sides (little creases) and the corners on the bottom have decent wear and rounding.

Why O why do seller's even think for one second that white envelope are good enough protection??????

Got one the other day.

Ebay seller: nses

Bought a card from him for $0.49 US. He charged $3.25 for shipping in a white envelope, penny sleeve, and a THIN piece of cardboard! Not even a top loader! I'm still not sure how this jerk has a 99.8% rating.

For the record, I don't oppose sellers using white envelopes. I have never had a problem, but I have had problems with bubble envelopes before.

I only write this guy in coz he charged me $4 shipping within Canada for a single stamp.

kaleidostar

No problems with the transaction otherwise.

I do not like to report people, but this one shocked me.

White envelope (doesn't bother me), but NO TOPLOADER! No cardboard, no protection whatsoever, just the card stuck in a team bag and put in the envelope.

I was lucky to get the card in good condition (It was a thick stock patch card), but man that could have gone horribly wrong.

I messaged the seller (corkscards) and notified them that they really should be using toploaders. Maybe it was a freak mistake I didn't get one, but that could have been a real nasty mistake.

Kippis!

White envelope again for $3.25 and Damage AGAIN!
Seller: quispamguy
Damage to an Olesz Spx auto/jersey RC. The Envelope was creased as well with a rip in one of the corners.

Why? Oh why? :(....

Sorry to hear about your card, this person isn't that far away from where I live but I haven't a clue who he or she might be ,probably within 10KM according to ebay.

Another one today....do they ever end?
Seller: ovt74
$2.50 for shipping white envelope and damage again.
Dawes spx auto/jersey RC has a rip between the 2 jersey areas and horrible chipping/wearing on all 4 edges. I highly doubt the wearing is from the envelope but the jersey rip might be since the envelope wasn't in the best of condition.
Should have known this was coming with a 98.2 rating and over 5000 transactions.....thats a lot of negatives!

got one this past week, tried to communicate the problem and work it out but he offered nothing more than saying if I bought something from him in the future he'd make sure to send in a bubble mailer.

eBay ID 204cdgates

$2.50 for shipping, pwe, no top loader either (but he did put card between two pieces of cereal box.)

It's time to start negging these people. Seeing how sellers have no negging ability left on E-Bay, there is no retalitory negging!!

Buyers stand up and neg these morons!!!!!!!

Got an Icepatch of Spez the other day in white letter with a $1stamp or so on it. The thing is the 100pt-card was forced into a 55pts jersey toploader. The plastic was all white from the pressure and the both topedges to the tp was cut with a scissor to enable the card to fit. Might sound like a lie or a miracle just happened but the card was perfectly fine.

$4 for a white envelope
