Just curious as I'm an American who has never watched CBC, how many rumors from hotstove actually happen? I see people talking about it all the time, but don't really pay attention since most rumors are created in the minds of some guy who has nothing to do with the teams involved.

I followed the link provided above to the hotstove installments. My wife and I had a good laugh over Al Strachan's ridiculous comments. It is so obvious he pulls this stuff out of his ***, and then insists he knows what is going on. And he discredits anyone else who provides any opinions, whether it is fact or rumour. How does the guy get these high-profile positions when everyone in the hockey business knows he is an idiot?

From the Flyers standpoint from what Im reading.
Its no secret that the Panthers will likely trade JBo whether they are in the playoff hunt or not. Philly wants him bad, how bad. We will find out.
Another area Flyers are vulnerable is goaltending. Apparently our eyes are in Minnesota for Backstrom since the Wild wont pay him 5-6 million per on a new deal. Look for the Flyers to trade Biron and Lupul for Backstrom.
