ok wow.

pat barry did great but his fatal flaw was that he was too respectful. he had cro cop on his *** several times and could've pounced and ended with some GnP but held back.

thiago fight was a bit lopsided...good fight for kampmann.

and chuck. well, there's always the HOF and franklin winning with a broken arm? respect.

At least I had a winning record for this show. I went 6-5 on the night. Better that I've done in the last 7 or 8 shows.

Also, huge respect to Franklin for fighting with the broken arm! I think Crocop has something broken on the left side of his face as well.

By the way, the Danzig/Wiman fight should be changed to a No Contest. That was one of the worst stoppages I have ever seen! No way should that be a loss for Danzig!

That was a great night of fights. Every fight that was televised on Spike, and the PPV were entertaining. Franklin- broken arm, Cro Cop- broken jaw, Rory MacDonald- broken orbital bone, nose, and cheekbone. Had an awesome time watching the fights with my friends, many out of the chair moments on the card.

If the first Ben Askren/Ryan Thomas fight was not changed to a no decision, whether this fight should or not; and it should, it won't.

The bonuses were as follows:

Submission of the Night: Mirko Cro Cop
Knockout of the Night: Rich Franklin
Fight of the Night: Carlos Condit and Rory MacDonald

all four fighters take home an extra $85,000. I am 99% sure that these are the biggest fight bonuses ever, must have been a huge gate.

Bring on Lesnar and Carwin on July 3.

That Patrick Barry/Mirko Cro Cop fight goes down as one of my favorite fights ever. It might not have been the most technically sound fight, etc etc...but Barry succeeded in doing one thing I had not seen in recent memory...I saw glimpses of the old Cro Cop...he enjoyed being in that fight, and I feel Barry motivated him to put on a better performance than we've seen recently. I haven't enjoyed watching a single fight as much as I enjoyed that one in quite some time.

I have nothing but respect for Barry going forward. He's someone who appreciates where he is, and brings an unparalleled approach of fun into his matches. I mean, what other guy is so happy to be fighting one of his idols that he breaks down and hugs the guy in the middle of the match in excitement?

The match outcome reminded me a bit of Herring/Nog a few years back. Herring had Big Nog rocked early, and allowed him to get up, which ended up being a huge turning point in the outcome. Of course, there's always the possibility that Herring was afraid of getting into Nog's guard, but Nog looked stunned enough that Herring could probably have done a bit of damage. Cro Cop didn't look phased the first time (which I think he called a slip the first time,) but given the amount of swelling after the second incident...he probably could've been taken for a ride.

i immediately became a fan of him after i read a story on pat barry for ufc 104 - in the weeks leading up to it, he was so broke he couldn't pay rent and was about to be evicted and was living on ketchup and rice basically. winning that fight certainly helped him out!

Awesome UFC weekend. Had a blast going around town to all the fighter appearances. Got to meet Rich Franklin, David Loiseau, Chael Sonnen, Dan Hardy, Patrick Cote, Clay Guida, and Diego Sanchez.

The Fight Club Q&A with Chael Sonnen was hilarious (I think ufc.com has the video), Chael was a great guest, very well spoken, and wasn't afraid to tell it the way he sees it.

Weigh Ins were awesome, being able to sit 3 rows from the scale got a few pics of the stare downs, the UFC Fight Club came in handy there.

The fights were great, crowd was loud especially for Rory McDonald, Cro-Cop and Chuck. The card ended with a KTFO, so everyone should have gone home happy.

To end it off, got to shake the hand and get a pic with the boss Dana White(who stayed after the fight to sign autographs and take pictures with every fan who was waiting for him, Thanking everyone personally for coming and waiting for him).
