More drive with his lateral, standing up a second longer and glove was great. All pieces from his record breaking drive at the start of the season.

They should make him Captain so he could kick some *** in the dressing room, then make him the coach:D

He played good and we still lost, thats the bottom line bring on Halak it's his turn to run with it again, BTW the goal he let in was his own fault gave up weak rebound and he got saved by the post but Kari got really lucky a few times all in all pretty even but Carey made one mistake and it cost him got to love this game LOL
 
Luckiest kid in the world. And judging by the amount of attention he gets from fans and non fans, the most popular too. :D

What would Halak have done differently last night that Price didn't? Score a goal? Because that's the only thing he could have done.

You can't really fault Price on the goal either. Ya, a bit of a rebound, but the D missed 3 chances to clear the puck. Komisarek is absolutely useless...

wanna talk overrated? Forget Price. Komisarek is the most overrated D man in the league. I've been saying it for a good 2 seasons now and only now people are beginning to see that I'm not so insane. I'm glad Lucic whooped him good. Enough of this big guy schtick. It's embarassing. The guy chirps and chirps when the refs are around but doesn't do a thing when he's alone other than cross check guys in the back.
 
Agreed on Komi, he has been horrible since last spring in the habs playoff run. Kind of weird concidering this is his year to rob the bank in the summer LOL, I understand that Halak probally would have done the same thing. My theory is that teams play differently infront of their backup goalie etc.. that being said they did play differently infront of Price last game, and they still couldn't score a goal, It's not the fact that Carey's letting in goals, it's the fact that he has let in way too many back breaking goals, when your down 2 goals and he let's in a soft one from the wing on the end of shift, or when you comback and make it 2 to 1 and he gives up a goal under a minute, it's not his fault alot of the time but that's what he is paid to do. Goalies like Grant Fuhr gave up a ton of goals, but the key was when the game was on the line he was clutch, weather it be a 2 to 1 game or a 6 to 5 game, they managed to make that 1 or 2 saves a game, Carey will get there some day just not today LOL

Anyways,we were lucky to get past Philly. We got some very fortunate bounces against San Jose in the first 5mins of the game otherwise this team's streak is even worse than it currently is
 
Let us be honest, Carey played pretty damn solid last night only allowing ONE goal. The 2nd goal was an empty netter. He couldn't have done anything different. Nobody in front of him could produce and that's how the cookie crumbled.

Didn't the Flyers beat Carey Price and the Canadiens in the playoffs last year? Also, are they now ahead of them in the standings? If they are losers, I dare not ask what the Canadiens are right now.

Cmon guys I know it was an empty netter I was refering to the game before, and several others on his journey this year, and yes Shane I still a huge Carey fan but right now I'm more of worried about the team in general and Halak is the man right now, I will peed off if Carbo pulls the same crap he did with Halak and Huet, that last game of the regular season vs the Leafs in still stuck in my craw, I just want to see the Habs get it back together no matter who's in net :beer:
 
I figure Price will be in Nets Sunday, but to be honest, the Canadiens are that bad it doesn't matter who is in nets.
 
The Canadiens just need confidence in their goalie for them to start playing well again....Carbo should just stick with Price right now, Halak is good, but Price has to work his way out of this. Its a bad time of the season to do it, but with the amount of Home games the Habs have left they should be OK.

All I hear from my buds are the Habs are done ect ect. Still lots of time to turn it around, but a First round matchup with the B's, Devils, Caps or Flyers looks to be in the forecast, unless they pick it up NOW! and at least catch the Flyers.


Just in case nobody noticed, they are not on the outside looking in right now....

This has probably been said already, but my guess is is that it is just a sophmore slump of sorts, combined with the team not playing well around him. Yes Halak has been more consistent, but still not spectacular. Price will weather this storm. He proved he was born to be a star in junior, in the AHL and last season with the Habs. Give him time, he will come around. So far though, no real drop in his card prices from what I've seen.

sad but true Shane, they could have Carey and Jaro in nets together, and we'd still find a way to lose because of the way the guys in front of them have been playing lately.
 
It is sad Kyle. How this team win for 3 months, and then lose is crazy. I mean they had their entire first line injured and still won games.

HABS IO's fans are losing it.

They want to fire everyone lol.

I say move Carbo to the press box:D and let Gainey take over.

Should be an interesting night.
 
a great game by Price indeed, heck even the guys in front of him looked like they wanted it for a change. lets hope this continues.
