Whats Happening with Carey Price

After the way Carey Price has been made a god in Montreal, the only thing they could do was fire the coach. The coach is always the scapegoat. If Price got sent down, Gainey would be killed in the streets, so my guess was he's just saving his own butt :)

That's probably the most uninformed statement I've read here after metrags said the Canadiens are the biggest disgrace to the NHL.

And I'm pretty sure a lot of Montreal fans would be more than happy to see Price spend some time in Hamilton. Maybe not now with Halak being sick, but a week ago the majority of us would have welcomed the move.

There is not one informed fan that would be happy to see Carey Price attempt to be moved down to Hamilton. Do you know why that is? Because he's played more than 80 games and would have to clear waivers. There is absolutely no chance that "the majority" of Habs fans want to see Carey Price become teammates with Yann Danis in Long Island.

Sorry, a week or two ago when people(me included) were suggesting he should spend some time in Hamilton, he was still under 80 games.

Excuse me for not noticing that he has since played in 82 NHL games :)

He's the greediest player in the world and they should trade him. No I'm just kidding, I like that God title though. Ok it's settled. He's a GOD. Oh mighty Carey please play in nets tonight, get a shutout and score 5 goals. Then after the game skate around the rink tossing gold pucks to your people :D

They also count playoffs when it comes to determining waiver eligibility, so with his 11 playoff games he'd crossed the threshold of 80 some time ago. You're probably the 50th person I've had to tell this story to in the past several weeks, so do forgive my frustration. :beer:
