I've got a hard time going against Lesnar. He's a beast with a lot of energy early. On the other hand Carwin hits like a ton of bricks.

I guess I'm going with Lesnar. The only thing I'm sure of is this fight won't get out of the first round.

What do you guys think?

My heart says Carwin, head says Lesnar.

Agreed; however, if Lesnar wins I do not think it will end in the first. I think it would be in the second or third via ground and pound. If Carwin pulls out the victory I think it's in the first round.

I would love to see Carwin knock him out. Unfortunately I see Lesnar taking him down and abusing him.

Yahoo readers are basically split down the middle right now. 47% for Lesnar via KO, 44% for Carwin via KO. I've got my Carwin shirt on right now and I will be disappointed if he doesn't pull it off, but to me right now, he's still the underdog.

I think the difference will be one of two things:

a) Who hits harder first

or

b) Who trained better on the ground

If it goes to the ground, it'll be surprising to see who has better defense since both are world class wrestlers...I'd be interested in seeing if either guy did a bit of ju-jitsu defense and whether they will be applying any of it. Carwin's been training with Ron Waterman, who isn't exactly known for his world class ju-jitsu...I don't know who else his training partners are. Lesnar trains with a couple BJJ guys...again, we'll see. It'll be a fun fight if nothing else.

For what it's worth on the Sherdog Radio Roundtable all of the experts picked Lesnar. In their Pros Pick article 38 picked Carwin, 14 picked Lesnar, and 9 were undecided. I thought that was interesting.

carwin was with the jackson camp when they were training rashad along with nate marquardt so i am sure they worked on some stuff there.

I'm taking Carwin by stoppage. Ring rust, or cage rust as it were, is a reality and Lesnar will have to deal with that in addition to Carwin's fists.

well, carwin's training partner brendan schaub just dropped chris tuchscherer who is lesnar's training partner early in the first round in the spike prelims....a foreshadow of what's ahead?

I hope so .....on a side note Gerald Harris had a nice slam KO in his fight

Brock is going to take him out. I like Carwin but Brock is insane....he is such a complete MMA heavy. Watch the dude on the ground and hes like a waterbug but he weighs a TON. The kids for real and will remain the champ.

By the way I was SHOCKED Couture trained him for this!!!!!!!!
