Olympic Gold Medal GDT: Canada vs. USA

Now, as for the game, this is huge. The pressure on the Canadian side is going to be absolutely immense, and the home crowd will be extremely intense, especially if Canada manages to score one early.

The Americans have certainly been the most consistent team in the tournament, and really have nothing to lose, as they are guranteed at least silver, and have already exceeded all expectations.

This is gonna be a good one folks!

Reguardless of the outcome USA will hold the best record in the Olympic tournament and most likely the most goals scored in the tournament and at worst a 1-1 record against our neighbors to the north...USA already has won the gold medal with those stats in my eyes!!!!!...A best of 3 gold medal round would be great but highly unlikely for the future....Here's to a great game and a W for the stars and stripes!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more. The Americans have been amazing so far, especially Miller. They deserve to be in this game. Congrats to them. You should be proud

That being said, I hope Canada kicks *** today! Revenge in the Gold Medal game would be MORE than sweet...

Anyone else believes that there is more pressure on Canada to win. Seems like the USA team is playing with house money. Will a USA gold be historic, absoutely. If we lose, I wont lose any sleep, did not expect the team get this far when the team was originally announced.

Key to the game: does Canada have any fresh legs left? USA coasted though Finland to the point we pulled Miller in the 3rd. Canada may be more beaten up and USA will take advantage.

Whatever happens today, I'll be proud of this USA team. I had no inclination whatsoever that they would get this far and be this entertaining. It's been a great 2 weeks of hockey regardless of todays outcome. I'd love for them to win, but I just have this feeling Canada will take it, sort of the opposite of what happened at the World Juniors. Hopefully I'm wrong!
