I am from Buffalo, and therefore are seeing a whole lot more publicity on this one, and there has been absolutely no evidence/confirmed stuff for this, so lets wait until some facts are put on the table.

Known things:

A girl, went and had a rape kit performed on her

3 Unmarked cop cards went to Kane's house in Hamburg, and looked around taking pictures

That's all I've seen confirmed

That's his problem, he's young and rich and apparently doesn't know how to control himself. He's a 26-year old who is set to pull in what, $10 million a year starting next season? He's got Cups and fame and success and a history of being a party animal. He's his own worst enemy.

I thought it seemed like he was cleaning up his act since the taxi incident a couple years ago. Its a very serious accusation though, far worse than his usual incidents of getting kicked out of bars or parties and making a fool of himself. I'd hate to see a talent like his go to waste over shenanigans like this.

Yes, they are making it very clear - This is as of right now an investigation only, no charges have been made as of yet.

As I've heard on local news -

Boy met girl at local bar.
girl went home with boy.
some time later girl reported a sexual assault to police.
 
If true at least the hawks will finally be under the salary cap, it was only a matter of time before this happened the way Kane lives. Play stupid games, and win stupid prizes.

Maybe. then again, it could be a case of a spoiled rich athlete thinking he can do whatever he wants.

Look, no one's convicted him already... it's just an investigation. But comments like that are just as bad as those who may be saying 'hang the *******!'
 
Kane do not have the best rep. I don't doubt it's true but with his rep he would be an easy target for someone to set him up. Guilty or not he will probably buy his way out like many other athletes.

Nothing says "this sounds like fun" for women like taking a rape kit test at the hospital, having people they've never met accuse them of being gold-diggers or ****s, or having their claims so casually and heartlessly dismissed because people know the name of the person they're accusing of sexually assaulting them.

Just have a look at Twitter and some of the absolutely vile comments being said by people who know absolutely nothing about the circumstances.

Yeah, she's doing this for the fame and positive glow of a few dollars.
 
Its happened before in the NFL...ben roethlisberger was accused by two women, acquitted and then sued both. Not saying this the case with Kane but its possible.

Kind of sucks because the Cup comes home to Buffalo again today, and the community doesn't get to enjoy it this time around because of this investigation.

Just like everyone else in this world tied to a "charge", I'll wait until I hear the whole story and the gavel comes down.
 
Doesn't look good for Kane on this one. But as some have said, we shouldn't jump the gun. We should wait and see what happens, i.e. if he is even charged. If charged, then people can really begin the speculation process regarding whether or not he actually did it, or if the woman is full of crap.
