Verified Trader,
considering what McDavid is going for, I will say 100-125
I am going to jump on the crazy Leaf fan band wagon and say around 200. People are going to be coming out of the wood work like crazy. Thisbtime last year you would be lucky to find someone who could name the starting short stop for the Jays now every other person can rhyme off the stats of almost every player. When Toronto gets something hot they all pile on.

Bottom line, he's a US kid, and that alone affects the price more than anything else. If he was Canadian, it might (but I doubt it) reach McDavid prices out of the gate, especially if they don't over saturate the market like they did this year with McDavid. But, since he's a US kid, I expect the prices to be right about where Eichel's were out of the gate, and settle around the same price as Eichel's. It's supply and demand, most of the big money is spent by Canadian's on Canadian born players. It's been that way forever, and rightfully so IMO. You could probably sell 250,000 McDavid Young Guns in Canada, but you are not going to sell 250,000 Eichel or Mathews Young Guns in the US or Canada.
Was at a hobby shop in Toronto today and owner said a Matthews Leafs YG would easily sell for $250-$300 locally. I believe it!
That's a lot of coin! Couldn't see it sticking, however, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a YG or two sell for that much right out of the gate, fresh off the release date. The "Toronto Factor" is huge and wouldn't put anything past it.![]()
Very realistic his YG would sell for that range at LCS's. My impression is that the prices being quoted here so far would be "ebay prices." And although we are comparing Mathews YG to McDavid's, I don't think either McDavid or Mathews YG's will ever be of Crosby calibre. Was at a hobby shop in Toronto today and owner said a Matthews Leafs YG would easily sell for $250-$300 locally.
