Hi all,

Saw in a hockey card Facebook group that COMC might be falling behind again.

There was a screenshot asking why the shipping target date came and went and the response from COMC was that most of their warehouse staff was hit with a massive illness.

Given how they handled the pandemic, I feel like they'll be able to get back on track in a reasonable amount of time.

My last shipment was late being sent out by three days which meant the inventory wasn’t available to take to my next show so I was a bit bummed by that. However, given their limited staff and the fact you can’t just bring in temps when a whole lot of people are off sick, it makes sense. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

I just placed an order today and this is what I get.
Date Requested: 2/9/2024
Estimated Ship Date: 3/12/2024
Items Ahead of My Order: 707,923

My last one took about 2 months, though it was poor timing on my part because the shipping request was about a week after their Black Friday sales, so I was pretty far back of the queue. I believe there were approximately 490,000 items ahead of mine at the time I requested shipment.

Date Requested: 12/9/2023
Actual Ship Date: 2/2/2024

For what it's worth, I also believe my original estimated ship date was near the very end of December. Then it just kept getting updated to a later date.

Keeping a log. Will update!

They are definitely falling further behind on shipping out, however their processing times are significantly exceeding expected dates. I requested a shipment on December 24 with an expected ship date of January 24 at the time it was requested - revised expected ship date is now February 24 (which they'll probably beat since as of today there are only 140,000 items ahead of it and strangely enough I've seen things ship when they get around 100,000 <shrug>.

My most recent submission for processing was received by them on November 30 with an expected completion date of April 1. Most of the batch was completed well before the end of January (so less than 2 months) - in fact it only has 4 cards left to process (out of 441).

Some might say it's amazing that the service they haven't received payment for yet (they don't charge the processing fees until the cards process) is being completed way ahead of schedule while the service that they have already received payment for (since fees were collected at the time of sale) is way behind.

Call it smart business I guess...

As long as the shipping times don't start getting much beyond where they are now I won't complain - it's a far cry from the literal year they were taking a couple years ago.

Based on my recent experience with a baseball redemption. It seems COMC is handling some (or maybe all fulfillment) of Topps/Fanatics redemptions. I would imagine that's having a pretty sizable impact on shipments.

My original ship date was suppose to be Feb 8th. We're not that far past that but the number of items ahead of me hasn't changed in 5 days.

My original ship date said Feb.13th now the expected date says Mar. 20th. It states my order was in transit from the US to Canada on Feb. 7th but hasn't been updated since. Still says 329,150 items ahead of mine.

I requested my shipment on 1/3/24 with an original ship date of 2/1/24. Since then, my ship date has gone up to 3/16/24.

Received an email from them yesterday apologizing for the delay and received a $5.00 ship credit for my next order.

I’m fairly certain we can talk about their intake processing and pulling/ shipping as independent items - it’s not the same people that work both sides.

It’s too bad the pulling and shipping is slowing down though. I’d like to pull some things out for upcoming shows but it’s hard to plan for a monthly when it’s taking two plus months.

I wanted shipment to my GISI in NH USA.

My options were $4.99 USD for April 10 delivery, or $7.99 USD "rushed" for February 28 delivery to NH. I paid for RUSHED as I want to ship my GISI stuff to Winnipeg in mid-March.
