Czech Players fire pucks at volunteer while setting up goal

This is disgusting. The players definitely noticed him there, could have been severely injured. The team should be fined, players who shot pucks should be suspended, and the tournament organizers should be embarrassed for putting a volunteer in this situation

We had a referee in Kelowna last season hit in the face with a puck in a similar situation as this, while he was pegging the net prior to the game during warm up. The academy the kids played for was asked to pay for his shattered visor and apologize for it happening. No excuse for this at an international level of play. Id be ticked off too if I was that guy.

The puck that hit him as he was trying to skate off the ice by the Swede's isn't good either. That one hit him quite high.

Just sent an email to the IIHF making them aware of this, gotta protect your employees or volunteers. Without them none of this would be possible. I hope he gets justice for this

Actually spoke this morning with someone who works at the arena. He was working in another part of the building, but knows the guy who got shelled. He said the guy was checked out by the paramedics, and he just got a little shell-shocked. Also said he was VERY unhappy.

If the IIHF had any balls, they'd suspend every player involved for the next dew international games.

Man, I'd be so upset too if I was that guy. Not cool. At least some of the players did notice him and didn't shoot the puck. The ones that did should be disappointed in themselves.

Did you see how upset he was when he got off the ice and stormed off? Wow I would of been pissed too. One of those pucks missed his head by inches. Could of knocked him out cold.

It showed the czech players find the guy and give him an autographed team stick and apologise. No one will ever know if they did it on purpose but at least they apologised and he has a cool story and souvenir to share for years to come!!!
