Final Vault Contest

Thanks for the contest Mr. P,

Great idea, love looking at all the cards being posted. It came down to 1 of 2 cards for me. One was my VIP personalized card of Steve Yzerman & the other was my 1st ITG pack pulled card from "2000 Ultimate Memorabilia" of Tommy Salo which is below. Looking forward to the new Vault release.

It was actually easy for me to pick my favorite.....it isn't a crazy, amazing retro piece....it isn't even a 1/1....out of all the amazing 1/1's and patches I pulled, this is hands down my favorite! To me...this is the definition of ITG. The colors in this are amazing.....other companies give you 1 color in Windows 5 times the size of a single one of these....I also like the fact that each card is hand numbered...gives it a more personable feel to it

Dr. Price, thank you for the contest, but even more importantly for the dedication and energy that you put into your products. As others have said, lots of cards to choose from, and it wasn't an easy decision. I've picked this card for a couple of reasons. If you had told me when I started collecting that I would be able to acquire material approaching 100 years of age I wouldn't have believed it. Normally I go for colorful patches, but this card almost gives me shivers thinking about the era it was used in. Secondly, I'm very appreciative of the relationships that I've formed on HI. It allowed me to acquire this card despite some very fierce competition. Acquiring this card was very enjoyable, getting it from a hobby friend made the experience even better.

Uhtred the Viking;

These are the kind of cards I am most proud of.

If I made one mark in the hobby it was the introduction of vintage hockey memorabilia.

I started buying vintage memorabilia in 1993 and I have to thank many people who assisted me in the acquisition of these pieces.

I've got a few cool ITG cards, this one is my all time favorite though. I opened the box at the Toronto Expo and let my wife pick the redemption. This is the card she pulled, the swatch on the Lafleur appears to be white, but it's not, it's got repair stitching in the swatch.

Nothing like getting a mention in Beckett because of a nicely cut patch/emblem piece!
Pretty sure a majority of the nicer pieces were from ITG!

Papercuts were great but yours is something else.

Papercut and Memorabilia of Charlie Conacher, that's some card.

^^^^^^That's a nice card^^^^^^

Here is my contribution...

It's the pinnacle of my collection and captures everything Trev represents on and off the ice.

Bobby Hull played in Hartford?

I like this card because it pictures Bobby with a team that most people didn't know he played with. The Jets and Hawks for sure, but the Whalers too?

Thanks for the contest Dr. Price and for producing cards like this over the years.

Dave.
