I am pretty sure someone has mentioned this but you need to remember why Carter was shipped out of Philly in the first place and apparently his issues haven't really improved. Being with Richards who he openly had problems with as well should also prove interesting in the near future. Just goes to show that LA was DESPERATE for offence and were willing to give one of their top 2 d men to get it. CBJ wins this trade big time especially if Carter ends up being a flop. He has also had injury problems this year.
 
I also agree that the Blue Jackets got the better end of the deal in my opinion. It will be interesting to see what Carter brings to LA, even if he lights it up, I don't think they are cup contender anyway.
 
CBJ wins. They remove an over-rated cancer and get a top D-man AND FIRST ROUND PICK. Carter can take his "talents" to the offensive black hole in Los Angeles and let's not forget ....party time with Mikey.

And for those on the +/- bandwagon...Mr. King Rob Blake was a -88 while in LA, but +84 elsewhere in the league. Hmmmm, maybe not all the player's fault me thinks.
 
So Columbus gives up Carter, Voracek, Couturier and Nick Cousins for a 1st and Johnson

LA gives up Schenn (who will be a 20-30 goal scorer IMO) Simmonds (who is already on pace for 30), a 1st rd pick, a second rd pick, and Jack Johnson for Carter and Richards who can be 70 point guys BUT Carter is a ghost in the playoffs, both of them have albatross contracts and together act like college frat boys in the city.

Howson will get fired this year, Lombardi next year.

Nobody wins except me who still has Carter/Richards duals to sell because they might increase since they are back together again.

Rumors at best but I think it was a bit more ramped up than that....what you just described was the PG version or a Sunday night......I can't wait to hear the stories that come out of LA in the next few years.....

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see JJ in Vancouver but it would be pretty tough to get him in with their cap space.

I was more wondering just based on what their commitment is to winning and how much a guy like that would want to stick around CBJ - and I would think that they could get a good return for him from a number of suiters.
