Let's See Those Completed Sets!

Love these sets! I don't have a pic handy, but the hardest set for me to finish was the 1996-97 Black Diamond Gold set from 1-180 with #151 to #180 being NNO /50!

You can skip the rambling and scroll to the pics - way back then I was just damn excited to have finally completed the set.

If anyone has a multi-coloured Joseph or York that would be great! :D

This set is what brought me back to collecting. I loved the Dynasty series and remember the power houses of the Islanders and the up and coming Oilers. This was a battle of the NY juggernauts and the stealth and speed-like Oilers. I want to share with everyone the set that has taken me 10 years to finally complete and is in fact a Master Set. Yes, you hear about Master Sets, but they aren't really, as the parallels are missing or something is just not right - cancelled redemptions. I am thankful that I captured a Master Set that was all within reason with one card that had a print run of 25, while the other print runs were set to 50 and 67. To complete any set with quality players with a limited run is ridiculous in that the print run would be so low or that the number of cards to acquire for the set would be just plain stupid that the time, energy and cost would kill you.

So without further delay I present to you my conquest that took over 10 years to complete.

Here is what got me started - I said that I had to have one card of both Gretzky and Messier in an Oilers jersey. This regular card was the first card I picked up and at a drop dead crazy cheap price. From there it grew. And yes, the Messier 500 Club auto is what took me 10 years to chase and find. I sold a lot of good cards to get this one and it was well worth it.

Here'r a bunch I've done over the last several years...

Had to finish off with a couple gool 'ol modern-vintage sets...The Score Hot Cards and Pinnacle B's. Loved chasing those back in the early 90's!
