It may not be so much as faded as it may have been the ink running a bit low in his marker/pen.I am sure for some collectors it will mean something.But it really would not mean a whole lot to me.
For me personally condition and quality has everything to do with the card. Individuals who are willing to spend that amount on a card might as well wait for something "perfect."
How much does it affect the value, probably not a whole lot. But for me personally, I would not be interested in the card at all due to the auto.
You lose more people interested in the card less so the value.
I, personally, may prefer a card like the one above if I could buy at a discount. For someone on a strict budget, sometimes a little off is a good thing. As a seller though, it does lower the value.
