NEED HELP!! - Making a List of Fake Patch Cards and Sellers

has anyone seen this a card before or can confirm it is in fact real? not saying it is or isn't, it's just peaked my curiosity... i watched the Lemieux's that year and never saw one that had a patch from anywhere other then the jersey logo.[/IMG]

So sad ...our beloved hobby can be ruined that way...it hurts more for our real collectors....it´s already down and fakers make it us harder down. Here in Finland people happy to see each other and have a good time plus searching cards.
 
Any help with this one above? If you search cards from the same year and the same product, there is of course multicolour cards, but nothing like this one above.

Interesting. I had no idea acer_1500 was selling fake patches.

I have a friend that purchased one of these from him. Any other proof that I can provide to him that these listings are repatched

Fake Taylor Hall Patch??

A few things stand out on this to me:

1) Auto patches were x/5 NOT xx/25

2) Unless it scanned poorly, the foil color is wrong for the patch auto- should be a bright gold.

3) EVERY patch piece I have seen for National treasures for Hall was from a Blue/orange jersey- not the dark blue/copper one.

To me, this looks like a Jersey auto card /25 which has had the jersey taken out and replaced with a patch. If the card is actually /25 then it is a for sure fake.
I've asked the seller for a scan of the other side of the card with no reply yet. This one is definitely suspicious to me.

Im an avid Linden collector but would you help me what´s best way to find out a card being faked? What I should remember before I buy any card nice card. I usually check sellers background but any other way?
Thanks for listing sellers who sells fake cards.
 
Iginla McDonald's Patch

I have checked with the cards I have in my collection and it is not a fake as I have 6 copies of this card including 4 received directly from McDonald's and 4 of them have a similar patch so this card is legit
 
Past two months just suddenly popped out many high ends Linden´s 2011-12 the cup foundations jerseys and patches...sellers trustworth yes...I never saw them past yrs and suddenly one seller giving up all...Prices were right. I hope there´s not been found fraud Linden cards, right! I mean I´ve got 2 cards, still someone is selling another cup foundation jersey card? They all have different colors.

I've seen it a couple times recently where Linden guys have put some of their collection (either PC items or doubles) up on the block. Sometimes it's just guys changing their collecting or maybe are looking for a few extra bucks. Definitely nice to see when they do pop up.

The key for me is WHO is selling the card. If he/she is a member here or I can get some info from other guys about him/her....then that's huge.

Caution should always be taken....but not every nice card out there is fake.

I bought a patch off him that I could not prove was fake. However he sold a Crosby Panini prime patch, for which the buyer later contacted Panini who said the one he sold was definitely fake. When both that buyer and me contacted him, he agreed to refund the amounts (so as not to attract Ebay's attention I guess).
 
Does anyone know a eBay member named josor-8256, he has a feedback of 2, and sold me that 1 of 1 quad Tag of upper Deck ultimate. Sale was on November 2scnd and payment was sent immediately, but until today no shipping. He does not answer anymore as well. Opened a case on eBay .
