RIP Luc Bourdon

Boy oh boy. So sad.
I guess the litany of tragic accidents continues... Horton, Snyder, Chiasson, Lindberg, now Bourdon.
So sad.

Really makes me shudder to think it could all disappear at any time... make sure you value those you love every moment.

Michael.

Not to mention Dmitri Tertyshny... another terrible accident. He was only 22 at the time.

My prayers go out to his family. Its a sad world to see his items on ebay skyrocketing and the number of items increase each time you look.

I heard today that he passed away. I had his Cup rookie auto patch scheduled to begin tonight (put it into the system last night), but I will now remove it from my listings. Edit - oops, I listed it last week - only 3 days left - can't end it now.

RIP Luc Bourdon. Motorcycles are safe if you ride them safely. I've been riding for a couple of years. There is some luck and skill that goes into riding, and an inexperienced rider could have made a fatal mistake.

That is why a lot of pro teams prohibit riding a motorcycle...written right into their contracts...way too dangerous.

Very sad...tragic...my thoughts go out to his family.

Let me tell all of you how many tragic things I see within minutes of happening involving motorcycles. MVA's are almost all of our highway calls for us, with a few spills mixed in, and the worst MVA's are usually involving motorcycles.

I have seen some bad car crashes, but, for the most part, there are very few motorcycle accidents we run on where there AREN'T injuries of some type.

It's why even though so many guys in the department keep egging me on to get a bike and go ride with them, I politely decline each time.

Man is this ironic, I just got an e-mail from the fire chief earlier to our whole department telling us to not speed in department apparatus because of accidents that can happen, our fault or not.............

All of you, please, PLEASE be safe.....drive carefully, be it car or motorcycle....

My heart and best wishes go out to his family and friends, simply tragic.:(

Its a sad reminder however that this can happen to anyone, its just that this time it happened to someone in the league. These things happen and its quite sad that it just happened to someone so young. To think, he's only a year older than me.

R.I.P Luc Bourdon

Motorcycles are a risk, and people die from them too often. I have lost friends to them, most recently a fellwo marine who was my roommate in Iraq, and a Jersey city Firefighter, , and I have seen some Bad crashes involving them. No matter, it is indeed a tragedy, and these tragedies happen far too much to our countires youth.

ESPN just added the Police said a Motorcyclist hit a Tractor Trailer, but didnt realease the name. They said the Family had confirmed the name.

I seen a guy do about 130-140 KPH from my way back from Buffalo once and he totally wiped out on the highway. It was nasty. Not to say all bikers are like this. He just got his bike two days ago. :(

Yeah I heard on TSN today that he just got his bike License a week ago and just bought one 2 days ago. Sad Sad

The loss of any 21 year old is tragic; stories like this hopefully remind people that there is no such thing as invincibility, though many at that age seem to act like it. Heck, I know I did.

Rest in Peace young man.

Such a loss, a huge tragedy for his family, friends and organization in regards to the person he was, not just the hockey player. May you have passed on to a better place than here, Luc, rest in peace.

I don't even know what to think....I can't imagine how his family feels...

Shame on all these ebay sellers listing nice or a lot of Bourdon cards just to make a quick buck...it is just sickening...
