Show me those speared White Whales!!

my recently speared whale made it here a few days ago- and i can't post a pic here due to the fact that i am a noo-b. haven't hit the requisite 15 posts yet.

anyway, it's a 07/08 SOTT triple of Erik Johnson, Ovie, and Kane, #/25. it's in my bucket in my EJ pc if anyone is interested in looking at it. will come back and edit this and add the pic when i grow up enuff to do so.


ps. why are just about everyone's pictures gone?

Got this bad boy in a 3 card lot with a zetterberg yg and spa fw rookie on ebay for 405 shipped. Sold the spa for $100, and the yg graded out bgs 9.5 sold it for $205, so i got my white whale for $100. Was my happiest ebay day ever.

This one required my persistent and unsuccessful efforts to find a 03/04 UD Series 2 Gaborik Patch followed by begging, pleading, ultimately bribery to obtain. Thanks GabbyGuy!

This one I found searching the net for "Frolov Remarkable". It showed up in Finnish on a Finnish site. I couldn't read much but I knew the card was for sale. The owner was an ex-UCB trader who has taken a break for a year or so. Eventually I found some folks who knew her and she kindly offered to trade me the card inexchange for helping her catch up with her LA Kings RC Collection. Thanks KillerKopitar!

I have three that I have picked up in the last couple months.

Limited to 88 copies each, almost never see them. One of the few cards from the late 90's to hold their value.

Second one I have ever seen, most likely the last one I will ever see.

My guess: They use some second-rate Internet service like Photobasket (or whatever the name is) and that deletes the pictures after a while (something like 15 minutes), so the result can be seen in those posts.
