Ebay Seller: nikki34_7
Card: C50 PATRICE BERGERON 2004 CALDER ROOKIE RC GU JERSEY
Shipping: $2.00 from US to Canada, seller paid $0.63USD
Method: White Envelope, in Top Loader
Comments: Bleh, I guess you get what you pay for?

Ebay Seller: shamdam3
Card: 07/08 UD Big Playmakers Jersey Patrice Bergeron #/50
Shipping: $2.50 Canada to Canada, Seller Paid $1.15CAD
Method: White Envelope, in Top Loader but Wrapped in Recycled Bubble Packet
Comment: Seller still paid the bubble mailer rate and it was wrapped in bubble so it's not half bad.

does it matter if it comes in a white envelope or bubble envelope or a hot post office girl delivering it to u in a big box? as long as the card is in good condition who cares except maybe the post office girl.

Oh I got one for you:curse: F@$& ebay user: lynnb4912... About a month agao I bought an 05/06 Fresh Ice JSY Zach Praise off of him/her for .99 + $4.00 S&H... Not a big deal. $5 for a zach praise is cool by me.... To my surprise about a week later I recieve a plain white envalope in the mail containing a bent 05/06 Fresh Ice Zach Parise card:| :| :| Now I'm not a A-hole, I'm not going to leave negitive feedback for a bent cards that I paid 5 bucks for... But I did reply to him that he should either charge less for S&H if he is going to slap a .41 cent stamp on a white envalope or start protecting the cards better buy shipping in a bubble mailer! Then I left "neutral" feedback that said 'Need to package better... your chaging me $4 S/H and you mail in reg envalope'. No big right, WRONG! He then leaves me NEGITIVE feedback saying 'GO TO YOUR LOCAL CARD DEALER SPEND 5 BUCKS-HOPE YOU GET YOUR CARD'... and I reply to that saying 'No thanks I think I will just never buy from you again. Thanks for the negitive FB :)'. GEEZE I can't wait till the new feedback system starts for ebay. That was totally messed up on his part.

IS the new feedback system going to delete recent negatives by sellers?

I think the thinking is if we are going to over pay for regular shipping by at least 2.00 it is not too much to ask that it be sent in a bubble envelope...Might be ok for a couple of non gu cards...but even then I would not do it...(might send free cards in a white envelope but nothing more)

Damn... same thing just happened to me from same seller. Same thing - no damage, but nuts that a guy would send a good quality card in a whitey.

Seller Name: cadz

purchased short print Sweet Shot rookie auto/jersey /25...and it came in a white envelope.

no damage thank goodness...but this is quite irresponsible for a card of this nature.

E-bay xnightwingx

Interesting info on cadz here guys...I just got a message from him last night saying he hasn't rec'd 3 SPx jersey cards he bought and paid for on Feb. 12th (total of about $30).

I replied and said let's wait another week or two and if it still hasn't arrived I'll make it right...people are too quick to pull the "where's my card" trigger! :(

Ebay Seller: ovt74
Cards:
05 06 SPGU Patrice Bergeron 2cl AA JERSEY sp/100 Bruins
07 Ultra Uniformity Patrice Bergeron JERSEY sp Bruins

Shipping: $3.50 from Ontario to Vancouver, seller paid $0.53CAD
Method: White Envelope, TWO CARDS IN THE SAME UNDERSIZED Top Loader :|
Comments: I guess the 98.1% positive should've set off some alarm bells off. Actually the most frustrating part of this transaction isn't the white envelope, it's the fact that the seller some how managed to stuff two 55PT cards in to a 75pt top loader. I had to perform a C-Section (literally) on the toploader itself just to extract the two cards....arrgghhh

One of my resolutions for this year, as far as the hobby is concerned, was to keep track of every white envelope I get. I have never posted them before but noticed quite an increase in the past year and decided to take action.

So starting today, with the first one of 2007 just rolling in, I am posting id's/names of people who ship cards to me in white envelopes.

Alright once and for all.. please somebody tell me what the big thing is? A white envelope.. is it the white color that's bad or is it the/a name for a none-bubble bag? Does the white-colored always go through a machine or?

I never got it correct I guess. You I use to buy a large stockpile of white bubblebags (which I use in Sweden and Europe) as brown or colored aren't avaliable here where I live. Over the past years I've reused the brown ones I get from sellers/oversea trades, maybe this is wasted time since my white bubbles are more protective then the old I use again? LMK

hahahh... no no its has nothing to do about the colour of the envelopes

white envelope just means the envelopes that have no protection and are just paper, which go through the rolling machines and have good chances of being damaged, whereas all the other BUBBLE mailers go through a different process which keeps the cards safe (most of the time :) )

o.m.f.g.(sorry)... lol! :dizzy: I've been thinking it's probably not the color but I thought, well you never know.. maybe both..

Alright.. word... but thanks, now I know for sure! :) But why you all in this hobby agree to call it "white"? Well, you don't need to answer that, just one of my strange spontaneous thoughts :D

Thanks
Andreas
