I caved.. I finally gave up.. After over 3 years of waiting on my 06/07 Gretzky LetterMark and ~2.5 years for my 2x 07/08 Iginla NumberMarks I finally asked for replacements.. They sat in the queue for close to 4 months before finally arriving today via Fedex.
Here's the exact cards that were replaced. Gotta say I was starting to panic when the first couple cards were revealed..
Also fair warning. Anyone doing the 09/10 SPA SOTT set prepare yourself. The unreleased, not on the checklist cards have now started to get released..
5/18/2007 WAYNE GRETZKY
06/07 NHL SPGU LETTER MARKS AUTO # TO 50 CD# LM-WG
2/22/2008 JAROME IGINLA
2007-08 SP GAME USED HOCKEY NUMBER MARKS VARIED #ING CD# NM-JI
3/18/2008 JAROME IGINLA
2007-08 SP GAME USED HOCKEY NUMBER MARKS VARIED #ING CD# NM-JI
In order of me seeing them.
07/08 OPC Buyback auto. Came with authenticity card
Here's the SPA SOTT - Not on the checklist..
Lanny McDonald SPX FF - Wish I had been given this card back in 05/06 when these were hot.
I can assume that the previous three cards were in exchange for one of the Iginla's. The Lanny books at 150 and the Iginla also books at $150.
The next one is replacement for the Gretzky Lettermarks. Pretty happy with this one. I'll trade an auto on a manufactured patch of a superstar for a dual auto any day. Especially these two guys.
And last but not least another replacement for the other Iginla. Have never seen this card and I have see Al's collection which contains probably 75% of the known print run for OPC Premier. Hence I am guessing this is yet another unreleased card making its way out through replacements. Great puck/stick mark on the third patch too.
So I'm now finally rid of all of my redemptions. Since I don't really break anything any more I am done with redemptions for good. All are available for the right price but my wife says otherwise. She isn't happy about me selling off my PC to fund the new house purchase. The deck/fence/blinds/etc.. unfortunately don't buy themselves though..
Whats everyone think about the value. No idea on the Iggy since its NPDTS but the other cards are exact on for BV replacement (with the 2 MacInnis' thrown in I guess).
