I just heard from my dealer that about 70% of the print run has roller marks going across the cards. I just checked my Young Guns and I can verify that they almost all do to different degrees. Anyone else have this problem and if so what do we do?

It appears to be wide-spread. Locally the first two cases were almost 100% damaged with the roller marks. Situation normal.

So is it safe to sell them on ebay without having to mention the marks if it affects pretty much the entire run?

I'm not gonna say it affects "pretty much the entire run" but there is lots of comments being made about it. I can tell you if I bought any and they were in that condition they'd be headed straight back to the seller and filing for a refund if the damage wasn't mentioned.

One of our dealers at the Toronto Card Show mentioned this today at the Expo. Sounds like it might not be so much of an isolated case.

i think all my YGs have nice little skid marks on the back and to a certain extent the front.

Ripped a bunch of packs in Kingston and found the same marks..I'm sure this is just what Upper Deck needs right now

Yuck...

If I'm UD, I'm issuing a statement ASAP stating that those roller marks are part of the design and the ones that don't have them are the error.

All kidding aside, this is going to be a CS disaster for them. Those with mint Tavares RCs, I was wrong, those cards are now going to be worth quite a bit as I don't see UD replacing all of these Young Guns (Tavares and the rest). Although, I hope I'm wrong there too.

I opened a case and all 72 young guns have the roller mark. However the young guns exclusives I have don't have the mark. AS for a scan you can't see the roller mark in the scan. At least not when I scan them

you can't really see it unless you look at it from a certain angle so the light hits it

Just checked mine from my case and no roller marks. That would have killed me. How blatantly obvious is it on most cards. Really curious to see what this does to the values of these.

I opened a few packs from a fresk box from a fresh case at my LCS, and no roller marks on the YG I got. But there were 3 other cases cracked from the same store , and every YG was damaged.

Sounds like it is very hit or miss.
