We should still be fine though.Cmon we have one of the best 1st lines in ovechkin-backstrom-semin....good second line in knuble-morrison-fleischmann or laich.Good scoring and a medium to great defence. The Caps will be fine ,question is are we going to go for a drink out of the cup this year or what?;)
Only thing I want back is Varly,Time to quit the Theo thing.Go with Varly fully and let Neuvirth backup and develop.

Going towards a cup run I have 2 things I think we need.Be it this year in trade before deadline or this summer, another scoring winger and another defencemen. That's my thoughts but it's only me lol.

We could really use a veteran defenseman. That's #1 on my wishlist.

Also. To be able to qualify to play for the Bears over olympic break, Michal Neuvirth has been sent down to Hershey and Braden Holtby has been called up!

Yeah another tower on the defence would help.Be it another powerplay guy or a stay at home punishing one whatever works for me.I'm thinking another hatcher or tinordi type to rough people up but also for a big shot at point.
I'm still thinking about maybe whitney or a dale hunter type of guy to bring in to charge things up more.
I just want this to be a bona fide run for the cup this year.

Washington needs a goaltender if they plan on winning it all.....the two plaugs they have will not hold up in the playoffs IMO

plugs was the word i was looking for

D.C. snow and the Penguins-Caps game
With another massive snowstorm slated to pummel D.C. Friday, the Caps are monitoring the possible effects on their games against Atlanta on Friday night and Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon, a team spokesman said.

Consider these factors:

*The Penguins play at 2 p.m. Saturday in Montreal -- will they be able to fly into D.C.?

*The teams, league officials and arena workers have to be able to get to Verizon Center.

*Is the arena is a position to staff a game and open its doors?

*Could Sunday's game, slated to start at noon, be pushed back a few hours? It's possible NBC wouldn't be willing to put the game up against the Super Bowl, which is at 6:30 p.m.

Per CI. This certainly makes things interesting. For those of you not in the D.C. region.. we're expecting 12-24 inches of snow Friday into Saturday.

Neuvirth has been called back up. Theo took no shots at the morning skate.... looks like Neuvy gets the call over Holtby tonight.

*sorry but I'm getting pissed off with the goalie situation now. I was really excited a couple days ago when they said Neuvy was hurt because I figured Braden would get to make his NHL debut. Now Neuvy's all of a sudden fine and most likely Braden won't make a start now.*

Gotta like the twelve wins in a row...

Here's to them getting to a 'Bakers Dozen?'

I know as a Pens fan I am probably unwelcome on this thread lol....but I think it is still possible that NBC would go against the super bowl....I mean what could they really show that would beat out a game that most football fans(and some casual fans) watch regardless of rather they like the teams or not....All I'd hope is that even if I had to watch the capitals announcers would they take over.....

Anyway I probably would only be able to watch the game if it is moved to a later time...I work for the national park service and might be going in tomorrow...if the roads are not terrible(or my Honda civic can get me there)..usually my street is the worse part of the drive in current conditions...it is one game I will hate to miss if I do so...

WOOOO!! Such good news! Hope he doesn't

penguinfan - anyone's welcome to post in this thread as long as there's no bashing involved. you're fine dude. looks like everything is going on time though. I just read that the Pens are taking a charter flight to Newark and bussing the final 4 hours to DC. Now they just gotta hope that they have enough people to work the game.

yea I know...I was more joking than anything.....Now I know it is probably too much to expect for the Pens to come out of this game on top..At this point I am hoping they are not embarassed
