Nope, I think he is playing waay below his capabilities. Giving up rebounds, missing pucks with the glove hand. He is nervous and it shows. Lot of pressure on home ice, keep throwing the rubber at him.
Joe Thornton - just amazes me . How can someone so big - play so little????

On the other hand - Getzlaf & Perry are flying , as is Staal & Richards. This is easily the fastest game I have seen in quite a while, where both teams have the speed.
For the US;
Patrick Kane, does he remind anyone of Theo Fleury?? His speed and fearlessness are to be commended. He does not shy away from anything.
The youth of E Johnson is showing a bit - but gawd is he a big body out there???
And Jack Johnson has played nicely as well - perhaps this will be a stepping stone for him???
How can you not appreciate the quiet way Rafalski controls the puck and makes decisions. we forget in Detroit that he was very good before Lidstrom made him look better!!
Miller has been good - not great but good enough. One goal was unavoidable - due to sloppy defense getting back.
Lets get on with a whale of a third period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
