Nagy to the Kings? I like that much more than the Stars. Guess me and Barrie will go back to duking it out for at least another year

Detroit is still missing the big bruising forward that can compete with Getzlaf and company- I had hoped Kyle Calder would pan out - but he decided to either disappear or could not deal with Babcock. Of course we now know that Schneid's could not deal with him either - and that is really why he left.

I don't know what was said in the local media about Kyle Calder while he was in Detroit, but it looked like things were turning around for him after the trade from Philly at least during the regular season. I don't know what his relationship with Babcock was like, but I do know there were other things going on outside of the game that were a distraction for Kyle that certainly didn't help.
Bwahahahahahahahahaha!![]()
Lou is definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel if he signed 2 Rangers castoffs in the same week!
TSN.ca said:MONTREAL (CP) - The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed restricted free-agent forward Tomas Plekanec to a two-year contract while also signing free-agent defencemen Mathieu Biron and Jamie Rivers to one-year contracts.
"Tomas Plekanec proved to be one of our most consistent players last season," Habs GM Bob Gainey said in a statement. "He established career highs in all categories and his defensive play was extremely efficient. He is young, dynamic and we strongly believe he is ready to take on more responsibilities with our club."
Plekanec, 24, ranked fourth on the team with 47 points (20-27) in 81 games in his second NHL season. He also led the team with a plus-10 rating.
Biron, 27, was acquired from the San Jose Sharks in return for defenceman Patrick Traverse last December. He led the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs in scoring last season with 39 points (10-29) in 77 games between Worcester and Hamilton and posted a plus-16.
Rivers, 32, split last season between the St. Louis Blues, recording a goal and three assists, and the Peoria Rivermen, the team's AHL affiliate, where he had 23 points (4-19).
The Canadiens also signed forward Cory Urquhart, 22, and defenceman Marvin Degon, 24, to one-year contracts.
