The NHL just needs a good game. They couldn't care less who wins. Remember this is the only Olympic event to be played at that time, anyone who's watching the Olympics will be watching this game.

Like I said yestersay, peewee hockey registrations went up like 500% after the 1980 games, the same figures occured after the first Mighty Ducks movie came out. (I actually had 80 players on my "no cut" team, so we had to withdraw form the league and made 5 teams to play a round-robin style tourney every week)

At any rate, a good game is all we can hope for, any type of blowout is just unacceptable. Bettman couldnt hope for a better way to get more fans. Underdog US team with lots of young talent and fresh faces versus the originators of the game itself (in their home arena no less).

In the mind of the casual observer, this has the good vs evil Disney storyline all over it, but to an avid hockey fan, it had the making of the best game of my lifetime.

Well this is the game I hoped for. I bet on Canada to make it to the gold medal game and they have made me happy that way. But I wasn't expecting them to be playing the good ol USA. I am really just hoping for a great close game, but I willing be pulling for the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also side note, Do the 3rd goalies on these teams receive gold medals also?

Steak and chicken on the grill, potatoes and veggies, my 9 day old in his "Habs" sleeper, we are all rooting for Team Canada in my household. No beer today, have to work tomorrow and I don't get much sleep during the night.

Oh, and Montreal loaned Toronto that Cup so they know what it feels and looks like.
